Chalk Jazz Fund

The Chalk Jazz Fund was established by Mady Chalk, M&A ’57 and is intended to be used to enhance jazz education at LaGuardia. Funds are being used at the present time for:

1. master classes throughout the school year
2. scholarships for meritorious students for continuing jazz education during the summer months (students who may not have sufficient funds to pay the cost of attending a summer institute)
3. private lessons for students who want more education than LaGuardia can provide as a public school.

From time to time, as the educational needs of students may change, funds may be used for other purposes.
