June LeBell Memorial Vocal Music Fund
This award goes to a student who excels in vocal music. It is in honor of the late June LeBell (Music & Art class of 1961), who passed away April 30, 2017.
Alumni & Friends President Peter Bakstansky, M&A ’57 says, “It would be hard to overstate the importance of the contribution June made to LaGuardia and its students. She led our organization through its formative years and was its face and its voice. More, she loved the school and its students.”
The June LeBell Vocal Music Award for outstanding voice students at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts is being established in June’s honor. The Music and Art Class of 1961, Alumni & Friends of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts along with the greater community of musicians, artists, friends and fans of June LeBell can keep her memory alive by contributing to this fund.
