Fund in Formation

Rebecca Perez, LaG ’93, has started a fund in memory of her mother and brother, Maria and Jose Perez, Jr., who were murdered during her senior year in high school. Rebecca says that one of the things that made a big difference during the aftermath was the support of the students and faculty at LaGuardia who showed great kindness that she will never forget. In addition to honoring the memory of her mother and brother, the fund will help a student deal with any financial burdens caused by such an event and give them some piece of mind.
