Gregg Fisher Bio

Gregg S. Fisher founded Gerstein Fisher in 1993 and is responsible for the management and
oversight of the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio management, as well as spearheading
the firm’s many research projects on areas of study that have included momentum, valuation and
analyst growth models, and global investing.

Gregg developed the proprietary Multi-Factor® investment strategies that the firm continues to
employ today to construct globally diversified portfolios with tilts toward risk factors that historically
have rewarded investors in the form of higher returns.

Gregg founded Gerstein Fisher* in 1993 based on a vision of offering a quantitative investment-management approach
grounded in sound economic theory and more efficiently implemented through technology. Today the firm embodies
that vision and continues to reflect Gregg’s commitment to ongoing research and quantitative, factor-based investing.
In 2009, Gregg established the Gerstein Fisher Research Center, whose mission is to investigate critical issues in
finance and risk faced by investors through pioneering research that bridges the gap between academic theory and
real-world practice. Through the Center, Gerstein Fisher partners with leading academics in the areas of finance,
risk engineering, and economics to research topics that have included investor behavior and its impact on market
and investor returns, the phenomenon of momentum in both domestic and international equity strategies, and the
replication of hedge fund returns through more liquid, transparent investment strategies. Several of the Center’s
studies have been published in academic and industry journals including The Journal of Wealth Management, Journal
of Investment Management, The Journal of Investing, Journal of Financial Planning, and Risk and Decision Analysis.

A CFA Charter holder, Gregg is on the Program Committee of the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance (the Q
Group), and a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA). He serves on the
Advisory Board for the Coalition for a Prosperous America, the nation’s premier nonprofit organization working at the
intersection of trade, jobs, tax and economic growth. The Chair of his Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) chapter,
he has taken part in its Harvard Business School executive program for the past 8 years. He is also an active member
of Tiger 21 and Vistage International. A clear and reasoned investment thought leader, Gregg is often tapped as an
industry expert by the financial media, including The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Fortune, Business Week,
and The New York Times, as well as by television networks including CNN, CNBC, and MSNBC.

Gregg is a board member of Alumni & Friends of LaGuardia High School, Carnegie East, the Jim Jacobs Charitable
Foundation, Inc., and the Community Resource Exchange, a nonprofit management-consulting firm that works to
make New York City’s nonprofit organizations stronger and more effective.

Mr. Fisher holds a degree in finance from the University at Buffalo, where he now serves as a Trustee for its endowment
and on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the business school.
