The LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts has a long history of producing many of the most notable artists. Its students have gone on to Broadway (Liza Minelli, Al Pacino), Television (Stephen Bochco, Jennifer Aniston), Dance (Arthur Mitchell, Edward Villella), Art (Milton Glaser, Jerome Witkin, Wolf Kahn) and almost every facet of the music world (Pinchas Zuckerman, Murray Perahia, James Conlon, Catherine Malfitano and Cy Coleman). Graduates from Music & Art, Performing Arts and LaGuardia have gone on to successful careers in the arts and the academic curriculum at the school has prepared the school's graduates for successful careers in almost every field. As an example, 2010, 98% of the 611 graduates went on to colleges and conservatories.
