Christine Scott-Deutsch (MA ’67)


Christine-Scott-DeutchChristine J. Scott is a Furman Fellow of The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a recipient of The Outstanding Educator Award from the Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development. She served as Regional and National Representative to the Guidance Assembly of the College Board and as President of the African American Caucus of NACAC for six years. A former teacher at M&A and Truman, administrator at August Martin, Stuyvesant, and Bronx Science and an Assistant to the Chancellor of the NYC Public Schools, Ms. Scott retried from the Department of Education and served at the University of Buffalo. In 2013 she retired as Senior Associate Director of College Counseling and Academic Affairs and Diversity Coordinator at The Masters School, NY.  Ms. Scott is an oboist and member of several community orchestras and bands. In addition, as a member of SAG-AFTRA she is in the cast of the show Mozart in The Jungle.
